BIOGRAPHY

廣瀬 絵美

Emi Hirose

Based on the concept of recollection of memory through visual and physical experience, I create works that are like devices for recalling the sensations and scenes that each of us have.
I feel beauty in the uncontrollable ambiguity, the irregularity in the regularity, and the coincidence and error that occurs in the nature and our daily life. Through advocating these elements into my artwork, I believe it will connect with the viewers to recollect their feelings and emotions.
Just as life consists of a collection of cells, every memories, experiences, feelings, sounds, and sensations are also pieces that make up who we are.
My pieces are layered to mimic the complexities of life, both in the biological and the philosophical sense where we are built from an accumulation of experiences.
